Acetate denim

It boasts a pearly luster, excellent breathability, superb drape, and a soft touch.

Regarding acetate denim: Cellulose acetate is a cellulose ester derivative produced by acetylating the cellulose in wood pulp pulp, which is then spun into cellulose acetate fibers via a dry‑spinning process. Cellulose acetate fibers themselves are characterized by moisture absorption and breathability, a comfortable hand feel, a soft luster, and resistance to static electricity.

Physical Properties of Cellulose Acetate

1. Cellulose acetate exhibits both a certain degree of water absorbency and the ability to dry quickly after washing.

2. Cellulose acetate exhibits good thermal stability.

3. Acetate fiber has a lower density than viscose fiber and is comparable to polyester; its strength is the lowest among the three fibers.

4. Acetate fiber exhibits relatively good elasticity, similar to that of silk and wool.

5. It exhibits a low shrinkage rate in boiling water and should not be subjected to temperatures exceeding 85°C.

Feature EFFECT

Biodegradable · Eco-friendly

Acetate fiber is environmentally friendly throughout its entire lifecycle, from raw material sourcing to production and disposal.

A beautiful, elegant drape.

It allows the fabric to drape naturally, enhancing alluring curves. It offers superior drape compared to viscose and cupro fibers.

Natural, lustrous beauty

Acetate fiber imparts a naturally lustrous sheen to fabrics, with a gloss level 1.4 times higher than that of nylon, modal, and viscose fibers.

The texture feels as smooth as silk.

It imparts a soft, silky hand feel to the fabric, making it softer than viscose and cuprammonium fibers.
